On November 16th 2017 Lubomir Diamandiev, Head of Cloud and Infrastructure at BULPROS, engaged the audience at the “National Conference on Cloud Technologies” with his presentation “Technological and business considerations for public cloud workloads”. The most interesting part of it was the brief introduction of the BULPROS Cloud Platform – a cloud platform, realized with Microsoft and CISCO technologies which is completely designed and built by the company’s own experts and the current global market and trend analysis. Based on his rich experience, Lubomir shared useful insights on the process of building a public cloud platform and the considerations and decisions companies need to make before going this way.

His main advice was:
- in almost all of the cases, Global Leaders will work for you. Consider them;
- work on Go to Market and Sales Strategy before starting. Cloud sales are realized through specific, targeted solution selling;
- choose a preferred HW vendor;
- get consultants for Operations and processes;
- do your cost model correct and precisely;
- carefully choose your fabric and platform;
- think for authentication and security as a bare principal;
- if it is your first time, make sure you have calculated risks everywhere;
- consider using an implementation partner;
- certify the platform.
Lubomir summarized that every business and industry can benefit from the opportunities offered by the cloud and the leading companies will be the ones which embrace innovation.
