February 6th, 2018 – BULPROS organized jointly with Microsoft Bulgaria the event “How to Make Your Applications Fit for Digital Business”. It focused on the opportunities of the digital transformation journey through application modernization which organizations need to take in order to optimize their performance and benefit from new business opportunities. The program was designed to present the attendees from different industries various innovative solutions for a modern work place.
In his opening speech Kalin Dimtchev, Microsoft Bulgaria Country Manager, shared his experience with the application modernization process and highlighted the importance of the business applications for the companies’ effectiveness. Ivaylo Slavov, CEO of BULPROS, focused on the technological challenges which can turn into opportunities for the organizations and can help them to be a successful part of the industrial revolution which is running on all markets. He also briefly presented the new BULPROS market offerings which empower businesses in their Digital Transformation journey with innovative solutions, services and products.
“The digitalization process impacts all businesses and companies need to embrace it and transform in order to be successful with respect to the new market needs and trends” said Martin Tsotchev, CEO of Intracol, a BULPROS company. He started with the digitalization components – data, infrastructure and applications, and focused on the first one to present new business models. The most interesting part in his presentation was the modern alternative to the traditional data archiving – the active archive which can be on premise or in the cloud and offers various business benefits. “It allows companies to archive data and easily access it in order to move it, change or delete it if needed which will become even more important in the context of GDPR”, said Martin Tsotchev. He also shared the case study of WeShop – an award winning solution which is an enterprise grade, cloud-based platform, a real-time available archive which covers an entire customer journey with a given retailer.
The second digitalization component – infrastructure, was covered by Lubomir Diamandiev, Head of Cloud and Infrastructure at BULPROS. He started with the answer of the question “What is the common thing between the top European Tech companies, with valuation of $1B+?” All of them are successful with growing business and all of them are using cloud technologies which give them the opportunity to be effective and to focus on making additional business and revenue. “In order to have a successful cloud journey, companies need to have a roadmap which shows them how to achieve their strategic goals for development” said Lubomir Diamandiev. He shared the stages of the Enterprise Cloud Strategy – discovery, organizational planning and technical readiness and briefly presented the BULPROS Infrastructure Transformation offering which helps companies to transform their platforms and infrastructure into the Cloud and Hybrid Cloud world.
“When we talk about Cloud, we refer to something which we are already all in and its business benefits will increase. The seamless experience of the customer who is using various applications on different devices is the focus of the innovative applications for a modern workplace” said Stelli Dimitrova, CEO of Innexys, a BULPROS company. All companies use business applications but they need to be innovative in order to disrupt the status quo. For example, Microsoft Dynamics 365 offers organizations the opportunity to model the business processes based on their specific needs and requirements and be more efficient. The case studies, which Stelli Dimitrova presented, engaged the audience as she shared a successful project regarding the digital transformation of a manufacturing company which uses great part of the Microsoft cloud services and an Azure web based application for one of the leading German football clubs which changes and improves the entire customer experience.
